 ere technologies like Ethereum, Tangle, Hyperledger Fabric, FlureeDB,&nbsp;
 and others solve problems; and where they do not.\n
 <strong>Consensus: when to use it, and its hidden costs</strong>&nbsp;- as 
 a defining characteristic of blockchain, consensus is important for decentr
 alized applications. But the standard Enterprise application needs to store
  more data than any public blockchain could reasonably handle - and most ap
 plication data does not need blockchain consensus. Brian offers the solutio
 n in partitioning data sets to lie on multiple Distributed Ledgers, some wi
 th blockchain consensus (either public or shared), and some kept completely
  internally.\n
