Everybody thinks they understand data quality. Sure, data quality has something to do with wheth er the data is correct - but it goes much deeper than that. After all, simp ly identifying that data is of unacceptable quality doesn’t give us m uch to work with unless we can communicate that fact effectively, or ideall y, improve it to acceptable levels.
\nData Architects are an instrume ntal part of any data quality initiative — after all, to improve data ’s quality means that the data is going to be altered or enhanced in some way. If that is going to happen, a Data Architect had better be involv ed!
