  understand data quality. Sure, data quality has something to do with wheth
 er the data is correct - but it goes much deeper than that. After all, simp
 ly identifying that data is of unacceptable quality doesn&rsquo;t give us m
 uch to work with unless we can communicate that fact effectively, or ideall
 y, improve it to acceptable levels.</p>\n<p>Data Architects are an instrume
 ntal part of any data quality initiative &mdash; after all, to improve data
 &rsquo;s quality means that the data is going to be altered or enhanced in 
 some way. If that is going to happen, a Data Architect had better be involv
 ed!</p>\n<p>This session will review the fundamental principles of Data Qua
 lity from a Data Architect&rsquo;s perspective, and give attendees some amm
 unition with which to tackle the Data Quality challenge back at the office.
